High Peak Charity Awarded Almost £100,000 by BBC Children in Need

Local family charity Home-Start High Peak has had its funding prayers answered this month thanks to the award of £98,642 from BBC Children in Need. Spread over the next three years, the grant money ensures the charity will continue to operate, making a significant difference to the lives of disadvantaged children in the area.

Home-Start High Peak, the local arm of a national charity that supports families as they try to build better lives for their children, has come through six months of rigorous quality audits evaluating all aspects of the scheme’s operation with flying colours. Achieving a preliminary score of 91% in September, the evaluators awarded a final mark of 100% in March 2015.
